Beirut Film Station 2016
Residency program for young filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa.
Goethe-Institut is pleased to announce, for the third year, a residency program for all young filmmakers from the Middle East and North Africa. The program is designed to support them in their professional careers by providing technical equipment and a space for work in which they can complete their projects. Along with the support, the program aims to set up a platform for all talented filmmakers to network, exchange experience and get exposure to other filmmakers in the region and Europe.
Of the many applications received for 2015, the jury selected thirteen residents coming from Lebanon, Sudan, Syria, Egypt, Palestine, Algeria, Bahrain, Jordan, and Tunisia. The residents have accomplished working on their films and benefited from each other’s experiences.
The application is open for those who have already professional work experience and who plan to realize a film project or part of it (pre-production, production or post-production). Beirut Film Station provides an artistically inspiring atmosphere in the middle of Beirut as well as time and space to work on the project under stress-free conditions, including basic technical equipment.
Those who are interested to take part in this extraordinary opportunity can apply online, via Beirut Film Station’s website:
starting 1st of April 2015.
The deadline is
31st of May 2015
. A jury will select the candidates for the year 2016, who will be announced on 18th of September 2015.
