– NOW Lebanon
This latest documentary by Carol Mansour, focuses on the plight of refugee women from Syria who have fled Syria to Lebanon over the past two and a half years. Through the stories of 5 admirable and courageous women (Afra’a, Umm Omar, Umm Raed, Samar, and Siham) we are led through the “refugee experience” as it affects women. They open up and share with us their experiences of displacement and loss, and in the process their strengths and resilience in the face of daily daily struggles to survive in an often harsh and unfriendly environment are revealed.
The film was produced in collaboration with the Heinrich Boell Foundation.
