Home Workspace provides a dynamic environment for hosting events, almost unique in Beirut because of its exceptional, multidiscliplinary design in a fast-developing area of the city, surrounded by other art venues.
Formerly a furniture factory, Home Workspace is located in Beirut’s industrial district of Jisr El Wati. For commercial and personal use, 2000+ m2 venue offers two auditoriums with a 50- person capacity each–one with soundproofing and a projector/ screen–and a large activity/ presentation hall with a 200-person capacity that has independent access and private dressing/ shower facilities.
The space also features a cafeteria, which is available for use by your event guests, and which can provide a full range of catering options for conferences and workshops.
Audio-visual equipment and technical support can easily be included as part of your hire package.

إن «فضاء أشغال داخلية» مكان حيوي مثالي لاستضافة الأنشطة، يكاد يندر أن يوجد مثلة في بيروت نظراً لتصميمه الاستثنائي المُخصص لأغراض مُتعدّدة، ولموقعه في منطقة تشهد تطويراً سريعاً، تضم عدداً من المواقع الفنّية.
يقع «فضاء أشغال داخلية» في منطقة جسر الواطي الصناعية ببيروت، وقد سبق أن كان مصنعاً للأثاث. يُقدّم هذا الفضاء ومساحته ٢٠٠٠ متراً مربّعاً، للاستغلال التجاري، قاعتي محاضرات سعة كل منهما ٥٠ شخصاً، معالجتين صوتيّاً وتشتملان على جهاز وشاشة عرض، إلى جانب قاعة مؤتمرات وعروض أكبر حجماً بسعة حوالي ٢٠٠ شخصاً، مُلحق بها غرف لتغيير الثياب وحمامات.
كذلك يحتوي الفضاء على كافيتريا مفتوحة لضيوفكم، على استعداد لتقديم تشكيلة من الوجبات للمؤتمرات ولورشات العمل.
كذلك فنحن على استعداد لتأمين المعدّات والأجهزة والدعم التقني اللازم.

Home Workspace facility was designed to be a semi-public space, catering to the research and production needs of a range of disciplines and media. As such, it is a key part of our vision for the space to be used for collaborations with other civil society non-profits and cultural collectives and institutions, as well as by artists and other individuals from the local community and elsewhere who lack the resources that Home Workspace provides.
For the benefit of collectives, institutions and individuals, the 2000+ m2 venue offers two auditoriums with a 50-person capacity each–one with soundproofing and a projector/ screen– and a large activity/ presentation hall with a 200-person capacity that has independent access and private dressing/shower facilities. These spaces can be used for rehearsals, shooting locations and workshops, as well as presentations, screenings, performances and other educational and public events.
Home Workspace also features editing suites for video, photography, sound and music, available for use by individuals and collectives in need of such facilities.
The space has an array of technical specifications and equipment for contemporary arts production and presentation, including sound, lighting, dance and projection equipment.
Home Workspace is given over to individuals, institutions and collectives active in the cultural or civic sphere on a discretionary, flexible basis: the aim is to ask those with a budget to contribute as much as they are able, whilst giving the space as a support to those lacking in resources.
The facilities have been used by a variety of cultural collectives and institutions, including the Arab Image Foundation, the British Council, the Heinrich Boell Foundation, the Cervantes Institute of Beirut, the publishers Dar Onboz and the French collective Peeping Tom, as well as the law advocacy non-profit Legal Agenda.

لقد صُمّم «فضاء أشغال داخلية» بغرض أن يكون حيزاً مفتوحاً أمام الجمهور، يخدم الاحتياجات الإنتاجية والبحثية لعددٍ كبير من المجالات والوسائط. وهكذا فإن جوهر رؤيتنا وتصوّرنا لهذا الفضاء يُحتّم وضعَه تحت تصرّف مؤسسات المجتمع المدني والجمعيات الفنّية غير الربحية والفنانين وغيرهم من الأفراد الفاعلين في المجتمع ومن خارجه ممن يفتقرون للموارد التي يؤمّنها هذا الفضاء، بغرض التعاون معهم.
يُقدّم هذا الفضاء ومساحته ٢٠٠٠ متراً مربّعاً، لكل من التعاونيات والمؤسسات والأفراد، قاعتي محاضرات سعة كل منهما ٥٠ شخصاً، معالجتين صوتيّاً وتشتملان على جهاز وشاشة عرض، إلى جانب قاعة مؤتمرات وعروض أكبر حجماً بسعة حوالي ٢٠٠ شخصاً، مُلحق بها غرف لتغيير الثياب وحمامات. هذه القاعات متاحة للتدريبات والتصوير وورشات العمل وللعروض التقديمية وعروض الأفلام وعروض الأداء وغيرها من الفعاليات التعليمية والجماهيرية.
كذلك يشتمل «فضاء أشغال داخلية» على وحدات مونتاج، تصلح لأغراض الڤيديو والتصوير الفوتوغرافي والصوت والموسيقى، مُتاحة لأي فرد أو مجموعة في حاجة إليها.
يحتوي الفضاء على تشكيلة من المعدات والأجهزة التقنية، تناسب إنتاج الفنون المعاصرة والعروض، بما في ذلك معدّات الصوت والإضاءة وغيرها.
«فضاء أشغال داخلية» مُتاح للأفراد وللمؤسسات وللتعاونيات الفاعلة في حقول الثقافة والعمل الأهلي، وذلك على نحو استنسابي مرن: بحيث يُسهم من يتمتع بالموارد بقدر استطاعته، بينما ينتفع بالفضاء من يفتقر إليها.
لقد سبق أن استضاف الفضاء عدد كبير من المؤسسات والمجموعات الثقافية، نذكر منها المؤسسة العربية للصورة والمجلس البريطاني ومؤسسة هاينرش بُل ومعهد ثربانتس ببيروت، إلى جانب دار قنبز للنشر وجمعية المُفكّرة القانونية.
