What is the sound of physical separation? Often this distancing is sounded out by streams of voices, by blips and clicks of a computer screen or cell phone, letting us know those who are absent are present. They form a language to communicate comfort. This live performance by Joe Namy remixes a series of Skype conversations and musical exchanges taken over the past few months with Halim El Dabh, exploring language and belonging through the process of virtual composing.
