In this multimedia lecture-performance, artist Noor Abed and filmmaker Mark Lotfy share findings based on their three-year research into foreign interference and militaristic endeavors in the Arab region. Their ongoing project takes as a case study a Palestinian contractor working in a US private military company in Iraq that trains the Iraqi Army in the use of weapons. In doing so, they chart the effects of the war economy and the military-industrial complex on the intimate lives of individuals, thereby revealing a web of consequences that leave no sphere of life untouched.
